The idea behind Gripfoot came after a group of friends attended a golf tournament in Austria. Throughout the event, there were constant comments about tired feet and insufficient grip, a challenge noted especially among older parhcipants. This made it clear that there was significant demand for better materials specifically aimed at addressing these issues.

Interviews with golfers and subsequent research revealed that although there was a lot of innovation in golf clubs and golf balls, the market for golf socks had remained largely unchanged. This lack of specialisation revealed an opportunity to develop a product that could make a substantial difference in both the performance and comfort of golfers.

With expertise in textile technology and sports equipment design, knowledge and passion were combined to develop a prototype golf sock that focused on improved grip, support and durability to reduce foot fatigue and enhance the playing experience. Initial tests and feedback from golfers were incredibly positive, giving the confidence to successfully introduce Gripfoot.
